I’m sure you are familiar with the most popular game in the world. It will return to you spiritual dividends for all eternity, and give you the wisdom and perspective you need to live for Him here on earth until He calls you home.“ And we, who with unveiled faces, all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18) Being transformed into the image of Christ is wisdom indeed, so though it cost all you have it is worth gaining. The world distracts us from this clear goal in a thousand different ways, but the Spirit will not deter from this plan. Your life He treasures and wishes to draw you into His counsels, to know how greatly He adores you and how securely He holds you in His hand. Our hungering and thirsting for the righteousness of Christ must be continual so that our filling will also come in continual supply. But we can never be satisfied to stop and say that we have come far enough. Oh, certainly there will be times that we need to take stock in how far we have come, to pause and consider our journey of faith, to thank God for the transformation that He has begun already.
